Arches National Park, one of five national parks in Utah, was designated as a national park in 1971. Set on 75,000 acres in central Utah. the area is a collection of over 2,000 sandstone arches - many of which are world-famous. The Arches National Park provides it's visitors with a number of outdoor activities, including hiking, auto touring, backpacking, and biking. A bike path leads from the city of Moab to the park, and tours of the Fiery Furnace formations are ranger-led.
