Antelope Island State Park
It is the largest island in the Great Salt Lake, consisting of 28,022 acres of what appears to be barren and deserted land. However it is the home to the pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, mule deer, coyotes, bobcats, upland game birds, waterfowl, bison and has some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll see. It features a visitor center that is open year-round with 18 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding and the Fielding Garr historic ranch house. Children's Treehouse Museum
Located in the Ogden City Mall with a focus on literacy. The Treehouse Theatre hosts a variety of special events. Call 801-394-9663 for more information.

Fort Buenventura State Park
Visit one of the most fascinating periods in Western-American folklore, the Mountain Man era. The Fort has been recreated on the original site and guides in period dress interpret the fort as well as the historical lifestyle of the Mountain Men and the Indians who inhabited the area. George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park
This outdoor museum contains pre-historic creatures in a realistic environment, including a water moat, volcano and special above and below ground exhibits. Call 801-394-9663 for more information.

Hill Aerospace Museum
View one of the largest collections of vintage aircraft assembled anywhere in the United States. Guided tours combine facts with engaging stories of the planes and the pilots that flew them.Located south of Ogden on Hill Air Force Base. Call 801-777-6868 for more information.

Ogden's Municipal Garden
Located at 25th Street and Grant Avenue, the garden is five acres of flowering beds, trees and picnic areas. During the Holiday season it hosts an elaborate Christmas Village.

Powder Mountain Ski Resort
1,600 skiable acres, 72 runs, and a 1,300 vertical drop serviced by three double lifts. Snowboarders welcome.

Snowbasin Resort
Host of the 2002 Winter Olympics Downhill Events. 1,800 skiable acres, 39 runs, and 2,400 vertical feet. Snowboarders welcome. Call 801-399-1135 for more information.

The Ice Sheet
Located on the Weber State University campus, it was used as the Olympic Curling Arena during the 2002 Winter Olympics. The Ice Sheet is currently used as a recreational facility.

The Ogden Nature Center

Union Station

Wasatch-Cache National Forest
Scenic highways provide easy access to most of the forests' attractions. Picnic areas provide a scenic stop for lunch breaks. Clear, blue mountain lakes and rivers are accessible from the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway and promise excellent fishing.
