Manti Temple
The most prominent building in Sanpete Valley is the LDS Manti Temple completed in 1888. The structure blends gothic Revival, French Renaissance Revival and French Second Empire styles. The temple is still in use today and its grounds are the site of the Mormon Miracle Pageant each summer.
Salina Canyon
Salina Canyon is an intermountain access on the Spanish Trail. It is one of the oldest traveled routes in the country. The rocks in this canyon have witnessed significant events of history unfold. First settled in 1864 it was then resettled in 1871 following the end of Indian trouble. Salina, Spanish for salt, is named for large salt deposits mined in the area. Coal has been mined for years in the Canyon.
